Mr. John Cutajar is an Ears, Nose and Throat Surgeon who has been working as a specialist since 2012, both privately as well as at Mater Dei Hospital. He has a special interest in the treatment of ear disease and hearing problems in both adults and children.
Following his graduation as a doctor and completion of his ENT specialisation in Malta, he furthered his experience abroad with a surgical fellowship in ear surgery in Gloucester in the United Kingdom, focusing on the use of LASER in ear operations, reconstructive middle ear surgery and endoscopic (key-hole) ear surgery.
He holds a master's degree in audiology and his involvement in research has included a UK-based research project on ear disease that has been nominated for international awards.
Since his return to Malta, he has introduced endoscopic ear surgery to the Maltese public health service, and is also working on the establishment of LASER-assisted ear surgery. He visits our ENT Clinic weekly at National Pharmacy Hamrun (National Medical and Wellness)
